Deep drawn mu-metal shields Manufacturer

The PL series deep drawn mu-metal shields are perfect for shielding sensitive electronics equipment against static or low frequency magnetic fields. Ideal for shielding audio transformers.
These high quality mu-metal shields are fabricated using HYMU80 alloy which offers extremely high initial permeability and maximum permeability. After the shields are formed by the deep drawn process, they are annealed at a temperature of 1180°C in hydrogen atmosphere and cooled at a controlled rate to achieve the best shielding characteristics.

Typical Annealing Schedule
Typical annealing process: The shields are annealed at a temperature of 1180°C in hydrogen atmosphere for 5 hours, cooled down at 150°C/h to 600°C, cooled at 400°C/h to 300°C and removed from furnace
